The Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Committee (HNRC) was created by consolidating the former Housing Advisory Committee (HAC) and the Community and Neighborhood Revitalization Committee (CNRC), through a Council Resolution on December 2, 2019. Members with unexpired terms, excluding the Planning Commission and Gilroy Unified School District member, who served on the Housing Advisory Committee shall remain on the committee as if they were continuing to serve on their prior committee. Recruitment of new members will not occur until the membership has less than 7 members. No person shall serve more than two (2) consecutive full terms on the HNRC, which includes prior service on the HAC and CNRC. Future members of the HNRC shall be appointed by the City Council and shall serve for a term of four (4) years. The committee will review and recommend Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) funding allocations and other CDBG and HTF related matters as prescribed by the City Council, study and advance the needs of the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area, housing, and affordable housing related issues.
