Animals - Lost & Found

The City of Gilroy and the County of Santa Clara have partnered together to provide animal sheltering for dogs, cats and other domestic pets for Gilroy residents.  Residents are able to deliver stray animals during open business hours, Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Pet owners looking to reclaim ownership of their pet can also do so during regular business hours.  The County of Santa Clara Animal Services department and shelter is located at 12425 Monterey Road in San Martin, CA, and can be reached at (408) 686-3900 or scc.animalshelter@cep.sccgov.org.

Pet owners are responsible for any fees associated surrendering unwanted pets.  In addition, pet owners are also responsible for any fees associated with treatment for their pets.

If a stray injured or sick animal is found, please call our non-emergency police number (408)-846-0350 to notify the police of the need to pick up the animal.
