Al Fresco Outdoor Business Program

NOTICE: 

Outdoor dining is currently prohibited: Mandatory Directive For Dining, Bars, Wineries, and Smoking Lounges - Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) - County of Santa Clara (sccgov.org)

Under the State’s December 3, 2020 Regional Stay at Home Order and the County Health Officer’s December 4, 2020 Mandatory Directive Implementing State’s Stay At Home Order, all dining establishments (including restaurants, bars, wineries, and other food service facilities) and smoking lounges are temporarily prohibited from providing any on-site service, whether indoor or outdoor, between December 6, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. and January 4, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., unless the County Health Officer modifies or extends the time period of this prohibition. Dining establishments and smoking lounges may provide only curbside pickup, takeaway, and/or delivery service.

The Gilroy Al Fresco Program is an opportunity for restaurants, retailers, and personal services (e.g., gyms and salons) to remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic by utilizing outdoor space for dining. displaying merchandise, exercising, and providing services to their clients.

It’s Fast, Easy, and FREE to sign up for the program! Businesses must register their Al Fresco Program with the City of Gilroy, by completing a brief registration form.

Public Property: Businesses wishing to use on-street parking spaces or other public spaces will also need to apply for a temporary encroachment permit, but the City is here to help make this a smooth process.
