In recognition of the many benefits of reuse, Morgan Hill, South County, and Gilroy hold their annual "Second Chance Week" each September. "Second Chance Week" is a full week of events designed to give your stuff a second chance!

With the goal of keeping materials out of landfills, "Second Chance Week" features a different way to Reuse, Resale, and Repair each day of the week:

Saturday, 9/10, and Sunday 9/11: Gilroy Citywide Garage Sale

Monday, 9/12: "Universal Waste Awareness Day"

Tuesday, 9/13: "Trash Nothing Day"

Wednesday, 9/14: "Donate Coats for Kids and Adults Too Day"

Thursday, 9/15: "Second Sight Day", donate old eyeglasses

Friday, 9/16: "Recycle Your Cycle Day"

Saturday, 9/17 and Sunday, 9/18: Morgan Hill/South County Citywide Garage Sale
