At the November 20, 2023 City Council meeting, city staff will bring options to the Council in open public session to address the financing and staffing of the temporary Santa Teresa Fire Station at Christmas Hill Park. The Fire Chief, in the meantime, will continue to staff the Santa Teresa Station from 8am to 8pm daily unless there are no available personnel to staff the station. Over the next few weeks, the City will provide staffing/performance reports, including emergency response times, to the City Council and the public that are timely and include when/why the station is not staffed on any given day.
The City and the City Council appreciate all who attended last evening’s Council meeting and those who emailed their thoughts and concerns about the Santa Teresa Fire Station. We look forward to addressing improved public safety for all of us.
