Recology, in partnership with the City of Gilroy, will be hosting a compost giveaway on the ranch site of Christmas Hill Park on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Look for signs that direct you to the giveaway location near the dead-end of the ranch site.
Take one 32-gallon can of compost and up to two cubic yards of wood chips. Using compost improves the health of your soil by helping it retain water and preventing runoff. Wood chips help with weed control and moisture retention. Remember to bring your own shovel, gloves, and containers with you.
