Accessing Agendas and Videos

Video recordings are available for City Council and Planning Commission meetings, while other advisory body meetings will feature either video or audio recordings, made available prompt post-meeting.
City Council Meetings
The Gilroy City Council convenes on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month, hosting regular meetings. A comprehensive packet, inclusive of staff reports and additional documentation, is prepared for these meetings. The preliminary agenda for each regular meeting is posted online at least seven (7) days in advance. You can access the packet of supporting documents online, typically available the Thursday preceding the regular Monday meeting. Occasionally, the City Council organizes special meetings and workshops to deliberate on specific topics of interest.
Community participation is highly encouraged at the Gilroy City Council meetings. Attend in person at the Council Chambers located at 7351 Rosanna Street. Should a regular meeting coincide with a holiday, it will be rescheduled to the subsequent Monday. The only exceptions are the solitary regular meetings in July and December; these are rescheduled to the last Monday of July and the second Monday of December, respectively.

Providing Public Comment at City Council Meetings
- In-Person: Members of the public may address the City Council concerning any items within the subject matter jurisdiction. Public comments made in person are limited to no more than three minutes. While the Mayor has the discretion to uniformly adjust speaking time, it is the goal of the Council to identify at the beginning of the public comment period the number of speakers present and to set the following time limits per speaker applicable to items on or off the agenda: Up to ten (10) speakers, three (3) minutes each; eleven to twenty (11-20) speakers, two (2) minutes each; over twenty (20) speakers, one (1) minutes each.
- Public comment in writing may be submitted via email to publiccomments@cityofgilroy.org or by mail to the City Clerk at 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA 95020. Please email your comments to the City Clerk no later than 1:00 pm. the day of the meeting for your comments to be submitted to the members of the City Council with sufficient time to review the comments. Public comments submitted to the City Clerk after 1:00 pm will be provided to the City Council as time allows. Written comments WILL NOT be read aloud during the City Council meeting. Please note that written comments are posted on the City's website, so do not include any personal information you do not want to be posted on the web.

Planning Commission Meetings
The Planning Commission meets on the 1st Thursday of each month. The meeting agenda and materials are posted 72 hours before the meeting and can be found below. The community may attend in person at the Council Chambers at 7351 Rosanna Street.
